At scholaris, we believe every child can learn and be successful in STEM. We teach kids STEM areas including:

Job market data from government agencies, consistently show that the demand for STEM jobs continues to outpace the supply of persons applying for these jobs. Data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics indicates that jobs in the STEM area will grow by 25% during the period 2021 to 2031, which is above normal for other careers. Further, as technology continues to improve, the universe of careers in STEM grows significantly. Many students are first introduced to STEM later in their student journey as they approach their college years. However, research has shown that students who are introduced to STEM in their later years either drop out of STEM in college or work in fields other than STEM. Conversely, when students are introduced to STEM at an earlier age, for example in elementary school, they are more likely to remain in the STEM field and excel in their STEM careers.

Our classes are in person, as research has consistently shown that students learn best in this format. Class sizes are designed to promote optimal teacher student ratios to ensure maximum engagement with the material being taught. Classes are held at our Alexandria VA location or we can provide classes at a location of your choosing. We provide a rich curriculum that will challenge students of all ages but will also facilitate their growth in developing analytical and creative thinking skills.

Students learn to work in teams while executing project tasks, problem solving technical issues and using their creativity to incorporate advanced concepts. The skills learnt in the respective areas complement each other. We ensure that students develop comprehension skills to ensure not just the how but the why of what they are doing.

Our teachers are experienced in STEM and have been carefully vetted to ensure they can impart their knowledge to kids of all ages in a motivating manner. The curriculum is constantly being updated to incorporate the most current technological advances.
